Why Infrared Heat?
So why an infrared sauna? I a sauna at my gym...
So infrared heat is actually part of the sun's invisible light spectrum or waves, it is totally safe and UV free. The far infrared waves have the ability to penetrate your tissue at the deepest level. Unlike the sauna at your gym, infrared saunas are dry, gentle heat meaning there is no humid oppressive or harsh claustrophobic feeling. Infrared saunas are are also more efficient at detoxification, in a typical session (40 minutes) you can expect your sweat to be comprised of about 80% water and 20% toxins, compared to traditional saunas where your sweat is 97% water and 3% toxins.
So what is the deal with the dome?
We use the Sunlighten Solo Sauna in our office, this was a choice made over "traditional box saunas" because you are able to lay down comfortably and you head is out so you have access to fresh air. You also have the option of laying on your back or stomach.
